Routers and wifi antennas

If your anything like I am, I like to mess around with things and see how they work. Well I was trying to mess around with some settings on my linksys routers. Well I got to reading and figured out that the stock firmware on these routers don't utilize there whole chip set. Not to mention the wifi antennas on them are 6DBI and pretty much useless. So during my research I stumbled upon a router firmware upgrade, at www.dd-wrt.com. They have a pretty extensive guide to helping you set up your router. So have fun enhancing your wireless for free! dd-wrt allows you to crank you transmit power from the default settings of 30 (which couldn't even be changed) to anything between 0-250. I hope you enjoy this router fix and have a good one!
